Yolk Digital is seeking a Business Analyst to join the Department of Industry, Science and Resources (DISR), supporting the Chief Information Officer Division's delivery of various ICT projects across the organisation, including artificial intelligence and emerging technology initiatives. DISR plays a central role in the Australian Government's economic agenda, working to build a productive, resilient and sustainable economy through investment in science, technology and industry growth. The CIO Division provides enabling services and operations delivery to the department and Australian businesses, and is seeking experienced and motivated Business Analysts who can contribute effectively across a range of complex digital initiatives. Working within multidisciplinary agile teams, you will bridge the gap between business and technology — translating complex requirements into clear, actionable solutions that deliver meaningful outcomes for the department and the Australians it serves.

• Analyse and model current and future business processes and information management environments • Analyse data-related requirements, user pathways and information flows • Conduct stakeholder engagement activities, analyse customer requirements and collaborate with technical specialists to develop fit-for-purpose solutions to business problems • Develop clear and concise documentation including business requirements specifications, business cases, functional and non-functional specifications, process maps, user stories, service design artefacts, and communication and change management plans • Conduct investigations and undertake technical research and analysis activities based on systems knowledge in alignment with departmental policies and legislation • Evaluate solution options and translate business requirements into techno-functional requirements • Analyse proposed solutions from a strategic viewpoint, considering broad-ranging benefits and impacts across the department and government • Develop requirements artefacts for complex ICT systems including website development within an agile environment

Hybrid: Remote working arrangements may be considered on a case-by-case basis in consultation with the supervising manager, subject to business needs.

1. Workshops & Modelling — Demonstrated experience facilitating workshops and developing business scenarios, process maps, data models and use cases 2. Agile Requirements — Demonstrated experience developing user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams 3. Complex Digital Projects — Demonstrated experience working on complex digital projects in an agile environment 4. Communication — Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders

1. IT Service Implementation — Relevant experience in implementing information technology services 2. Office Technologies — Experience documenting requirements for Office technologies 3. Azure DevOps — Experience using Azure DevOps for user story creation and tracking of acceptance criteria 4. Dynamics 365 / Power Platform — Experience or knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Power Platform
