Yolk Digital is seeking a Software Developer (.NET) to join the Department of Industry, Science and Resources (DISR), supporting the Chief Information Officer Division's delivery of various ICT projects across the organisation. DISR plays a central role in the Australian Government's economic agenda, working to build a productive, resilient and sustainable economy through investment in science, technology and industry growth. The CIO Division provides enabling services and operations delivery to the department and Australian businesses, and is seeking experienced .NET developers with a minimum of five years' experience who can contribute effectively within fast-paced agile delivery teams. This is an opportunity to work across a range of ICT initiatives, developing and maintaining secure, Azure-based web applications and APIs that support legislative reporting requirements and new regulatory processes.

• Develop and maintain Azure-based web API and portal applications supporting legislative reporting requirements and new regulatory processes • Integrate system components to deliver a seamless end-to-end user experience • Apply secure coding practices to ensure solutions are robust, reliable and compliant with departmental and ISM standards • Conduct peer reviews of code and infrastructure and implement against agreed application architecture documentation • Create and review technical and release documentation • Provide technical advice on systems development issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders • Collaborate within a cross-functional agile delivery team to deliver secure, user-friendly and reliable solutions • Mentor team members, promote cross-skilling and foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement

1. Technical Skills — Demonstrated experience (minimum 5 years) implementing secure web-based business solutions: • Experience developing web APIs using Azure API Manager and customer-facing web portal development using .NET Framework (including .NET Core) and ASP.NETExperience developing web applications using Angular or React ◦ Familiarity with the Information Security Manual (ISM), its controls and how to apply them to solution design and build ◦ Experience with unit, integration and automation testing including xUnit, nUnit, Selenium and Playwright.NET 2. Cloud Experience — Demonstrated experience in cloud-based solution implementation: ◦ Azure Logic Apps, Azure SQL, Azure Service Bus and Azure API Manager ◦ Azure DevOps and Visual Studio for code development, repository management and CI/CD deployments ◦ Integration of custom-built applications with third-party systems including Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM ◦ Extensive experience developing on Azure platforms ◦ Demonstrated experience optimising complex legacy code to fully utilise the Azure cloud environment 3. Agile — Experience working in agile environments: ◦ Experience working with agile multidisciplinary teams to deliver secure, user-friendly and reliable solutions meeting stakeholder, citizen and business expectations ◦ Ability to pragmatically adapt direction and scope as new information, challenges or opportunities emerge 4. Cultural Fit — Interpersonal and collaboration skills: ◦ Ability to work effectively with geographically dispersed teams ◦ Ability to engage with technical and non-technical staff at all levels ◦ Ability to collaborate and mentor team members to promote team harmony

1. Experience in development using Agile and DevOps delivery models 2. Experience developing web applications using either Angular or React 3. Integration/UI/FrontEnd testing: Selenium, Playwright.Net, Jest 4. Tertiary qualifications in software design and development and experience working with SQL servers, Cosmos DB, Blob storage and high-volume data traffic/processing.
