About the Organisation Yolk Digital is seeking a Senior Storage Engineer to join the Department of Industry, Science and Resources (DISR), where you will play a key role in managing and evolving the department's storage and infrastructure platforms. You will be responsible for deploying, configuring, managing and tuning storage systems across physical and virtual layers, including Storage Area Network switches, within a large and complex ICT environment. Working as part of DISR's Infrastructure Platforms team, you will contribute to data centre management, virtualisation, automation, backup and restore capability, and after-hours on-call support. This role also carries a knowledge-sharing and mentoring responsibility, with an expectation to produce technical design, build and operations documentation and support the development of junior team members. The successful candidate will bring a forward-looking perspective on emerging storage and data platform technologies to help shape DISR's future direction.

• Deploy, configure, manage and tune the department's storage systems across physical and virtual layers • Deploy, configure and manage Storage Area Network (SAN) switches as required • Produce design, build and operations documentation, including handover materials • Share knowledge with team members and contribute to a collaborative technical environment • Mentor and support junior team members in their development • Monitor emerging storage and data platform technologies to inform and shape the department's future direction

1. Demonstrated experience in the design, administration, tuning and troubleshooting of one or more enterprise storage systems including HPE 3PAR, Primera or Alletra; NetApp E-Series; Dell Data Domain; Brocade Fabric Switches; SANnav; and/or Scality Artesca 2. Demonstrated ability to produce design, build and operations documents for processes and procedures 3. Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to present to staff and stakeholders and coach team members 4. Experience and/or knowledge of Veeam Backup and Replication
