Yolk Digital is seeking a Project Manager to join the Department of Industry, Science and Resources (DISR), supporting the Chief Information Officer Division's delivery of major ICT projects across the organisation. DISR is committed to encouraging the sustainable growth of Australian industries through policy development, program delivery and a national innovation system that drives knowledge creation, international competitiveness and productivity. The CIO Division provides enabling services and operations delivery to the department and Australian businesses, and is currently seeking experienced and motivated project management professionals to contribute to a portfolio of significant ICT initiatives. This is an opportunity to work in a collaborative, agile environment where you will play a central role in delivering outcomes that have lasting economic benefit for all Australians.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders including business partners, cross-agency collaborators and service providers • Research, plan, implement, monitor and evaluate project and program initiatives from initiation through to post-implementation review • Negotiate and engage with stakeholders to ensure effective communication, coordination and collaboration for timely and successful delivery • Identify and resolve project-related issues and challenges in a proactive and timely manner • Provide management, coordination, governance and assurance across complex ICT projects • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in an agile environment to deliver agreed outcomes • Represent the team and branch at project governance meetings, providing clear and up-to-date reporting on status, risks and implications • Oversee project resources to maintain a high-performing, motivated and well-developed team • Utilise project management tools and frameworks to drive outcomes across risk, quality, financial management, procurement, resource management and strategy

Essential Criteria

1. A minimum of 5 years' experience leading complex ICT projects and programs in Federal Government. 2. Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including business partners, cross-agency collaborations and service providers. 3. Experience with/ and application of project management frameworks and methodologies including waterfall and Hybrid Agile. 4. Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with a range of stakeholders, including Departmental Executive.
