About the Organisation Yolk Digital is looking to fulfil a role with our client, the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM). BoM is seeking a Senior Microsoft Power Apps Developer to design and deliver a Power Platform solution supporting the FWIN (Field Work Information Network) program. Operating at an EL1-equivalent level, this role requires a technically capable and self-directed professional who can translate business requirements into well-governed, production-ready Power Platform solutions. You will work across the full solution lifecycle — from architecture and development through to data migration, governance configuration, user training, and post-deployment support. The role has a meaningful stakeholder engagement dimension, requiring clear and confident communication with both technical peers and non-technical business users to iterate solutions and drive program outcomes.

Duties may include some or all of the following: • Design and develop Power Apps canvas and/or model-driven applications to support FWIN business processes • Implement Dataverse as the primary data store, including data modelling, table design, and relationship configuration • Design and configure Power Automate flows to support data validation, workflow automation, and notifications • Migrate existing data from SharePoint Lists to Dataverse, ensuring data quality, integrity, and consistency throughout • Apply appropriate security roles, permissions, and governance controls within the Power Platform environment • Collaborate with business users to gather and refine requirements and iterate on delivered solutions • Produce clear technical and operational documentation including data model and solution design, application configuration, and support and maintenance requirements • Deliver user training, knowledge transfer, and hyper-care support following deployment • Troubleshoot and optimise performance of complex workflows, application logic, and data connections • Contribute to and influence ICT delivery practices, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement • Proactively share knowledge and expertise, and provide assistance to less experienced colleagues where applicable

Senior - EL1 equivalent

Remote: The agency supports fully remote delivery for this engagement. Candidates may be based anywhere in Australia, provided they are available during standard business hours (Canberra time) and able to attend ad hoc meetings or workshops as required.

1. 5+ years demonstrated experience developing Microsoft Power Apps (canvas and/or model-driven) and Power Automate flows, with foundational knowledge of the Microsoft 365 Platform. 2. Experience implementing Dataverse as a data store, including governance policies, security roles, and data migration 3. Extensive experience in troubleshooting and optimising performance of complex Power Platform workflows and data connections

1. Experience delivering Power Platform solutions within Australian federal government environments 2. Hands-on experience migrating data from SharePoint Lists to Dataverse, including data quality and integrity assurance 3. Demonstrated ability to produce end-user training materials and deliver knowledge transfer sessions post-deployment
