🧪 Senior Automation Tester

Yolk Digital is recruiting a Senior Automation Test Analyst to support Austrade's Export Market Development Grants applications and the Go Global Toolkit — a high-profile digital service supporting Australian exporters. The role is critical to ensuring the quality, reliability, performance and accessibility of these platforms. You will design, build and maintain both automated and manual test frameworks to validate functionality, performance and accessibility, and you'll work closely with developers, designers, the product manager and content specialists to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Test strategy and planning • Develop and maintain a comprehensive test strategy covering functional, performance and accessibility testing. • Define and implement automated and manual test processes aligned with agile development practices. Test automation • Design, build and maintain automation test frameworks using industry-standard tools (e.g. Selenium, Katalon). • Develop and maintain API, UI and integration test scripts to ensure end-to-end quality. • Implement continuous testing within CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable delivery. Manual testing and quality assurance • Conduct manual and exploratory testing. • Validate business requirements and user stories to ensure alignment with delivered functionality. Accessibility, cross-browser and device testing • Conduct accessibility testing to ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA standards and a consistent user experience across browsers and devices. Performance testing • Develop and execute performance tests to assess system scalability and responsiveness. Test execution and reporting • Execute test plans and regression suites to support high-quality releases. • Provide clear, actionable test reports to stakeholders, highlighting risks and quality metrics. Collaboration and continuous improvement • Train and support other team members in scripting and running both automated and manual tests as needed.

1. 5+ years of current experience in manual and automation testing, 2. Training, mentoring, and sharing/transferring knowledge to new, junior, or other testers on applications, systems, automation tools, and scripts, 3. Demonstrated experience in: ◦ designing, establishing and maintaining automation frameworks and scripts from the ground up within agreed timeframes utilizing various automation tools, ◦ test management tools to create and manage test plans, test cases, defects and tasks associated with raising and resolving defects through to resolution, ◦ test automation tools and practices (e.g., Microsoft Visual Studio, Katalon, ACCELQ, Selenium, BDD tools), ◦ implementing, building and running the automated test scripts on Azure continuous integration (CI) pipelines and report automated test results, ◦ testing web and desktop applications, infrastructure (hardware, networks, software upgrades), ◦ Azure DevOps, SharePoint, Dynamics 365 CRM, ◦ HTML, XML, .Net, C#, Java Script, Java, Groovy, ◦ Waterfall, Agile/SCRUM methodologies and DevOps principles. 4. Demonstrated ability to: ◦ review manual test cases and translate them into automated test scripts, ◦ improve existing automation testing scripts/framework, ◦ communicate with various stakeholders both verbally and in writing, ◦ to work both independently and collaboratively, ◦ under pressure, switch between priorities, adapt to change.
