Yolk Digital is engaged by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) to provide an experienced Senior Salesforce Developer to the Commercial Application Delivery Section, within the Business Solutions Branch of DFAT's Information Management and Technology Division. You'll support projects that build and enhance the department's Salesforce applications. Working in a project delivery team, you'll implement and deliver solutions that meet clients' business requirements. You'll collaborate with the Solution Lead to prepare designs, favour out-of-the-box features and configuration to maximise value and sustainability, and follow best practice when customising with code. You'll work closely with the business analyst so your releases meet business requirements and acceptance criteria, with the tester so they meet quality assurance standards, and with the release manager to take releases through the DevOps pipeline, meeting quality standards at each step. This is a delivery and ongoing support role. Day to day you'll take part in the planning and analysis of business requirements for system changes and enhancements, translate application designs into functional configurations and code in line with DFAT's development and configuration standards, support quality assurance and release management so artefacts can be properly tested and deployed, produce the design, solution and technical documentation the project needs, and stay current with Salesforce technologies and best practices. The specialist Salesforce skills DFAT is looking for cover designing, building and delivering enterprise-level integrated solutions; configuring Salesforce (custom objects, flows, permission sets, sharing and related settings); advanced development in Apex, Lightning Web Components, OmniStudio, Aura, JavaScript, CSS and HTML; tracking and troubleshooting errors in development and configuration; Public Sector Solutions and Experience Cloud; and version control with advanced CI/CD tooling. The role is pitched at SFIA Level 4 in Programming/Software Development (PROG) and Software Configuration (PORT).

• Participate in the planning/analysis of business requirements for system changes and enhancements. • Remain current with Salesforce technologies and best practices. • Translate application designs into functional configurations and code, in line with development and configuration standards. • Support quality assurance and release management operations to ensure artefacts can be properly tested and deployed. • Produce design, solution and technical documentation as required by the project. Specialist Salesforce skills are sought in the following key technology areas: • Demonstrated experience to design, build and deliver enterprise level integrated solutions. • Demonstrated experience in configuring Salesforce. Ability to build/modify custom Objects, Flows, Permission sets, sharing and other related configuration and settings. • Advanced demonstrated experience in Apex, Lightning Web Components, OmniStudio, Aura, JavaScript, CSS and HTML. • Demonstrated experience in tracking and troubleshooting errors in development and configuration. • Public Sector Solutions and Experience Cloud. • Experience in using version control and advanced CI/CD tooling. • Strong understanding of Salesforce best practice and functionality. • Certified Salesforce Platform Developer I and OmniStudio Developer/Consultant.

Onsite. DFAT has a strong preference for Canberra-based, on-site work (5 days in the office). Remote arrangements may be considered at DFAT's full discretion and with prior approval; if you are located interstate, a minimum of 2 consecutive days per month at DFAT's Canberra office are required at your own expense (DFAT does not pay travel, accommodation or other expenses).

Certifications Certified Salesforce Platform Developer I and OmniStudio Developer/Consultant.

1. Advanced Salesforce certification Certified Salesforce Platform Developer II or any Salesforce Architect certification such as Data Designer or Sharing and Visibility Designer. 2. Public sector or Data Cloud certification Certified Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS) or Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant.

Pitch your examples at SFIA Level 4 for Programming/Software Development (PROG) and Software Configuration (PORT): show that you work independently on complex development and configuration tasks, collaborate with solution leads, business analysts, testers and release managers, and produce quality design and technical documentation.
